South African designer Thebe Magugu has teamed up with Woolworths to release a ready to wear collection. The collection is called Lineage, and in his words is “a study in inheritance- the garments, images and stories passed between generations.”

Founder of Zimbabwe Fashion Week Launches A New Retail Concept for Global Artisan Brands
The founder of Zimbabwe Fashion Week, Priscilla Chigariro, held the soft launch of a new retail concept for global artisan brands during NYFW. The Sp_ce will be a physical store in the greater Boston, Massachusetts area, as well as an online store. It opens in October this year with 21 artisan brands from across Africa, Latin America, and Asia.
Nigerian-American Designer, Chuks Collins, Debuts Newest Collection for NYFW at Harlem Fashion Row’s (HFR) Fashion Show and Style Awards
The collection entitled “Archive of Love” was built on contrasts – juxtaposing structure with softness, precision with movement, and heritage with evolution. Also presenting at this year’s HFR show and awards were Rey Jaiteh and Atelier Ndigo (by Waina Chancy), who took home the inaugural Runway Ahead Prize.
